From M4 Motorway Aprroaching
From Wales And The West
Leave the motorway at Junction
18 and follow the A46 signed Bath. Descending steeply towards Bath follow the
signs to Bradford on Avon. On entering Bradford turn right at the first mini
roundabout onto the Winsley road. Travel along this road for a mile or so, leaving
the built up area. On the right hand side you will see a grass verge and opening
in the wall marked '142' .
From Bristol
Take the A4 towards Bath.
At the large roundabout by the Globe public house turn right, following the
Combe Down signs. Continue along this road for a few miles going straight over
any traffic lights and roundabouts. After you pass the Bath clinic on your left-hand
side keep on for about half a mile or so. As the road bears to the left, turn
right down Brassnocker Hill. At the bottom of the hill turn right then first
left onto the Bradford on Avon road. Continue along this road for a mile or
so following the Bradford signs. At the end of the Winsley by-pass turn left
at the roundabout and after about 500 yards on the left you will see a grass
verge with an opening in the wall marked '142' .
From The South
Take the A36 towards Bath.
At the Limpley Stoke viaduct turn right onto the Bradford on Avon road.Continue
along this road for a mile or so following the Bradford signs. At the end of
the Winsley by-pass turn left at the roundabout and after about 500 yards on
the left you will see a grass verge with an opening in the wall marked '142'
.
From M4 Motorway Approaching From London And The East
Leave the M4 at
junction 17 (Chippenham). Travel towards Chippenham and follow the A4 Bath signs.
Continue through Pickwick and take the B3109 to Bradford on Avon. Approaching
Bradford on Avon you go over a number of mini roundabouts, the final one has
a road opposite with a vehicular restriction. Turn right here and right again
at the Mini roundabout (Castle pub on left). At the next mini roundabout turn
left onto the Winsley road. Travel along this road for a mile or so, leaving
the built up area. On the right hand side you will see a grass verge and opening
in the wall marked '142' .
